Let me tell you, criminals to this day STILL lick the stamps on letters related to their criminal activity (you here about this every now and again) - go figure!

I guess if you think about it the criminal would have to be aware this technology exist (not everyone watches CSI - I don't, but I do follow criminal cases in the news) and in order for a criminal to get caught using DNA they first have to become a suspect (then get samples taken), so if they don't believe they will ever become a suspect (for whatever reasons), they may not take the precautions against providing this kind of incriminating evidence - just a thought.

I was reading that ALA didn't like the taste of envelopes or stamps so he always used water or someone else to lick them. So it could be as simple as that. My grandma had a sponge she used cause she said the glue would cause cancer. Funny thing is she smoked like a chimney.

Time is money, but verification takes more time and thusly costs more money.

Well...it is possible to have one of the kids hanging around lick a stamp for you. LOL

My mom used to make a joke around that terrible tasting task in the 70's when sending mail was pretty common and we were too young to stand up and complain. I even saw her get a lick out of Ms Kitty too. It was always good for a YUCK! from a kid running past the table as she did the bills. Of course, a serial killer might be a tad paranoid and just instinctively know not to lick a stamp...but no DNA on the stamps does not clear this suspect. Nor would it convict him. Could simply be he didn't like to lick stamps or envelopes. A paper cut on my tongue sure made me stop licking envelopes years ago.

Hello all. I have been out of commission typing wise, but I have been reading and trying to stay caught up. I am posting becuase I read something on catseye's site about the hood and was wondering if it is true. Nanette, what do you know about this?

Quote:
I keep asking Hollywood to help close the case, too, but maybe since they are so entrenched with politicians in power, they don't want to? I thought our Government, our Law Enforcement wanted the truth! I now believe they are liars. Oh, before I close, I mention in blog #4 at JackTarrance.net that I ran into someone at Clearlake Walmart who was involved with Napa cold cases, that they told me something because they thought I was deeply involved with FBI's investigation. Well, they said that Dennis Kaufman did indeed have the Lake Berryessa Hood because DNA had comeback linking Jack Tarrance to the scene. I called Dennis & Nanette about this, Dennis told me that he Napa Sheriffs had came for the hood back in January 2011, that they would know by mid-July the outcome. What was so important about mid-July? Before I lost my 2 friends in this Zodiac mess 8/3/11, they hadn't recieved any official notice. My educated guess is that the material was discovered to be Puebloan like where Dennis mom is from and DNA came back matching either Mescalero Apache and/or Cherokee like I believe Jack bloodlines may be made of after researching much of his symbols that I have yet to publish. That said, this is my tearful goodbye to these cases until someone from Congress, FBI, LE and/or Hollywood comes looking for the truth and wants to settle these cases once and for all in a very, public and open decent manner instead of the hate recieved online and off the internet.

Is it true that Napa has the hood and matched it to Jack via DNA or something?

I found that information here http://www.707catseye.net/id21.html in a section near the bottom called After All These Years, I Find That There Are 2 America's: Truth, Justice & The American Way; Truth, Justice & The American Indian Way.

If this is true, that's good news!

Nanette, I am eager to hear more about the Oakland Murders as it develops. I will try to post more later.

I've been convinced that the hood came from Jack Tarrance for quite some time now, I wonder if it was the original one used or a copy that Jack made. I believe Dennis but I am very skeptical of some of catseye's contentions, I thinks she mixes the truth in with a lot of unsubstantiated nonsense and as you know I've been saying this for months, others have criticized her even more harshly.

For example; she tipped me to the fact that the JBR ransom letter had JT's initials all over them (her words); yet... then why didn't she embellish this fact?, instead she went off on a tangent of mainly irrelevant reasoning, this has been how she's dealt with these cases all along. Lately she's been overplaying the American Indian thing; claiming that Jack wasn't a serial killer but an avenger, that characterization isn't even fair to the native tribes named as well as the victims and the rest of society.

Why did the DNA results take so long in the JBR murder case and now DA Mary Lacy has cleared the Ramsey's? It took over ten years!

Yes, but you and I believe that JT composed the ransom letter, are you talking in the past tense with regards to the DNA ?

Why is it taking the FBI almost 3 years to officially announce the case is closed and JT is Zodiac?

Midnightskulker, or whoever you are, do you think I can control what the FBI does? You sound like that fruitcake Chris Yarborough, "Dennis lied and said the FBI would announce that Jack was Zodiac" well dumb ass! I was only repeating what I was told. This is one of the reasons I no longer update the status of the investigation to anyone!

I can play the same stupid little game Chris Yarborough and Tom Voigt play and ask them, "why hasn't law enforcement eliminated Jack as a suspect?"

law Enforcement very rarely excludes ANYONE from a case it took them the same year that Rick Marshall died to announce he wasn't any longer considered a suspect and he had been looked at for over 30 years, I know, Ive been a cop for almost 5 and they don't like to exclude anyone they want to leave all avenues open
