Here is an update from CBS13 Sacramento:

After the main video clip, it continues with a few additional video 'extras' about the handwriting, with the same document examiner.

There is alot that you don't know about, there are things that were never made public and it is obvious you are not privy to this info.

cluznar,

If he's been killing for that long, then does that mean you're abandoning your Gareth Penn theory? Because if GP was killing in the 40's, then...wouldn't he have been an infant or kid at that time?

This press conference tommorow is a desperate attempt to try and get law enforcement involved, and one of the key players behind this is Bart Baggot. This explains why Mr Baggot disagreed with Nanette Barto's findings when she came to the conclusion that Jack wrote the zodiac letters. Baggot has invested alot of time and money into his theory on who the zodiac is, and it is all about to come to an end.

I just got confirmation that there is no law enforement agency that is backing the press release tommorow.

I watched KTVU FOX2 News and they seemed to be stalling on the name(s) and said to tune in to the 6pm news. They did say it was the girls father but more details at 6.

I've been awol from the boards for awhile, so hi! to the familiars!

To the Deborah Perez's claims and the astounding number of folks who acutally give them credence: WTF.

Honestly, words escape me here.

That a seven-year-old girl could have composed the Belli letters: improbable, yet possible.

That a seven-year-old girl could have written in/understood ANY type of cipher code OR done any sort of embroidery: WTF?!?? Again, I'm at a loss for words.

As the mother of a six-year-old, volunteering regularly in the classroom, I can attest that even the most exceptional of his peers would have no ability to script a cursive letter Q, abbreviate "number," or likely recognize an ampersand, let alone employ its less-common alternative logogram (as seen in Belli letter).

Even speculating that Deborah acutally could have composed the Belli letter, handstitched a logo without maiming herself, and communicated with her father in a code, thus undeciphered by anyone, I'd imagine she'd be doing something other than selling houses, and especially as a California resident, educated enough to have heard of Zodiac before this past fall.

Deborah, thanks for the laugh.

Ms Perez would have been better off claiming to have wrote all the zodiac letters instead of just the Beli letter. There are things in the Beli letter that show it was the same author of the other zodiac letters. Debra Perez claimed she wrote the Beli letter because it looks different. Their handwriting expert is none other than Bart Baggott, the man that was just on the news a week ago claiming he disagreed with Nanette Barto's finding that Jack Tarrance authored all the zodiac letters. Bart Baggott is Nanette Barto's mentor. Since Bart was involved with another case that involved zodiac's writing, he should have never commented on Nanette's findings as it is clearly a conflict of interest. This was a huge mistake! Nanette presented her findings to the FBI here in Sacramento and they were very immpressed with her work, and her work is now being looked at by their forensic department. Nanette is completly thorough in her examinations and is completly confident in her conclusion that Jack Tarrance is the author of all the known, and some unknown letters from zodiac, including the Beli letter. Debra Perez made the zodiac hood, wrote the Beli letter, etc, at seven years of age according to her. This whole this is going to backfire on the people behind this scam, wait and see...

I agree Dennis.
After reading that letter over a few more times and trying to imagine a 7 year old girl writing it, I just can't buy that. I have daughters, and even though I like to brag about how bright they are, there is no way they could write at age 7 that neatly and precise as the beginning of that Belli letter,or even as it trails off back into the more typical zodiac writing patterns.

Another thing that really contradicts Ms. perezs' statements yesterday was that she says she didn't know about the Zodiac until 2007 yet in this Belli letter she supposedly wrote, it talks about all the killings, the urge to kill again, the children being safe from a bomb, etc. Trust me, she would remember that stuff, I just don't buy the" repressed memory" theory!

I Like to give people the benefit of doubt but this is just way out there! It don't add up!

Besides, handwriting experts long ago determined that one person authored all of the confirmed Z communications. If thats true she couldnt have possible written part or all of some of the letters while her Dad wrote the others.

Also, the Belli letter begins with 'This is the Zodiac speaking'. How could she claim to have written that letter but not have heard of Zodiac?

All of the above are right on the money. And lets talk about this all-star crew they've assembled.

The ex Attorney/Spokesman: I've been told that he was disbarred this month. Great, he has a lot of integrity (I'll take 2 Sham-wows please!)

Next the Handwriting expert: he has a clear conflict of interest and as mentioned above all the letters are attributed to 1 author. So if the claim is now that there was multiple writers then what good is having an expert up there from a bogus science that offers about as much technical skill as Mr. and Mrs couch potato?

Mrs. Perez: outside of the fact that she is kind of hot in a fatal attraction way, as mentioned above there are too many factual problems with her claims to be true.

They will offer up proof in the form of some solved cyphers and some dated glasses. It is also my understanding that this Mr. Farmer has been known to have come up with "a" solution to some of the cyphers. Now she shows up claiming she wrote them and can solve some of them--presumably the same ones that Farmer has already solved. The spokesman/disbarred attorney says they have been in contact with Farmer and he can verify her work. More like, they are all in this together. Farmer came up with "his" solution, teaches her "his" solution and now she shows up with the Sham-wow man claiming to be the author to be verified by the guy who actually came up with the solution. The whole thing is another dash for cash. This is as transparent as it comes. As for their claims that could really provide some proof such as his scrap book or other verifiable physical evidence "Ugh sorry we don't have that" Hell, I have the same pair of glasses that were my father's before he passed on. All smoke with no fire....BS, all of it!

Totally agree with you, JCloser. This lady made front-page news Wednesday night here in SF and while I personally welcome some respite from the Swine Flu that's been dominating the news cycle this week, what is being sold to the public as hot s*** on a stick is really just a cold turd on a log. How much do you want to bet the SFPD "inconclusively links" Perez and her father to the Stine murder as a means of saving face and appearing to be relevant to the investigation?

What a freaking crock!

http://www.foxnews.com/

If you go to this link and go to "Fox news videos, top videos" there is an interview on Nat'l Television about the press conference/D Perez. The interviewer speaks with a former NYC police Detective. He seems to be very legit and he states that he just doesn't buy it. He also makes reference to a suspect that the SFPD/FBI are currently looking at, someone that has also died?? I am quite sure he is speaking of Jack Tarrance! Anyways, this guy is pretty informative.
