Nanette, I do see the poetic link between all these crimes, I had to be involved and study this subject for a awhile for that overview to emerge, I think the handwriting reports you've made cinches them all together.

I'm still looking for corroboration regarding the info that Beth Short was going to Chicago with "Jack" and that she was obsessed with the Lipstick killings case. Certainly I've notice the point you've made about, for example; the street names being related to each other. Since LAPD looked at "Jack" Anderson Wilson as hard as they did I think that's a strong clue. I've read they looked at him because they suspected that he was in the Cleveland area during the Cleveland Torso murders but again there's no solid evidence that Jack Anderson Wilson was a murderer.

I know this is a repeating theme that I bring up but again the lipstick killing message has JT initials emphasized especially in the word "catch", note that the lower case "t" is backwards and forms a "j" but it is really a "t" that works with the "c's" that are made to look like "e's"....get it....jteee, do yo see what I'm saying?

Once again the killer signed his work or should I say initialed his work.

More over and of course the handwriting is a match as Nanette has amply shown.

I think that the "w" (in the Degnan ransom note)with the way it's structured reminds me of the symbol and the word flova (jack's mother) theme as found in the other works of this serial killer AKA Jack Tarrance.

I wouldn't concern myself with Bill Heirens too much, yeah he got railroaded into prison but from what I've read he's become too institutionalized to function in open society...sorry Bill, if it were up to me I'd give you lots of money and set you free.

Oh, BTW Nanette, I've reviewed this thread and I think the work you've done on it is really great. I think that this is one of the more important threads because it demonstrated how these crimes are all tied together.

Oh, yeah...also he did the j and t thing on the words "cannot" and "control".

Lots of evidence that's cross-connected in these crimes...lots.

It's my impression that of all the handwriting comparisons; that the Lipstick killing ones appear to me to be the most obvious and similar to Jack Tarrance's, I say that coupled with the missives found. It seems to me that he made very little effort to disguise it from his regular writings or should I say he did a poor job of disguising it? Is that fair to say Nanette?

I'm looking for links to all of the Lipstick killer documents if anyone can help me in this area. My query centers around the fact that Jack Tarrance displayed his initials in many of the related crimes. We know also that he liked to put his mothers name Flova in some of his works too.

In the lipstick wall writing he wrote: "For heAVemS saKe catch me BeFore I Kill more I caNmot coMtrol myselF"

Noted features:

-the "S" in heavenS is very similar to the "S" in "She" in the eighth line of the Jonbenet Ramsey ransom letter, note also; the curved "h' in that same word, artistically curved to fit around the back side of "S".

-all three of the "t's" are shaped like a combination "jt" the same as the JBR ransom letter as well as Zodiac documents

-note the term; "For heavenS sake" and all of the Pisces fish symbols, this is Zodiac Jack 101

-the converted "c's" made to look like "e's" can read phonetically as "eat me"

-note that for a guy saying "I can't control myself" that he wrote the fanciful looping "F" an the end of myselF

-this wall writing is very fanciful in many ways similar to the JBR ransom letter

-all of this augments other clues that connect Zodiac Jack to the other crimes

I've found the "j" hook-shaped "S's" in several Zodiac documents as well. Also the "y's' with backward hooked stems, more subtle are these features in the older documents but very prominent in the JBR ransom letter. Another prominent characteristic is the way he curved the stems of his lower case letter "f", this was one of the first things that got my attention in the exemplars that Dennis Kaufman posted.

Observing the "jt" clues in all of the related documents is a good way for a newbie get on track.

Nanette, I remember sometime back you were looking for pictures of Heirens when he was supposedly reenacting the crimes. I saw a couple of ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1946-Press-Photo-William-Heirens-Murderer-Serial-Killer-Lipstick-Killer-/280802804867?pt=Art_Photo_Images&hash=item416126c483

Not sure if they help you, but here they are. The seller has other Heirens related pictures you might want to look at, but from what I can recall these are the only two pictures showing him at the scenes of the crimes with police after his arrest.

I recently discovered a very solid piece of evidence that ties the 1946 Chicago Lipstick killings to the Zodiac Killer. On the wall writing in the Chicago Lipstick killer case in the word "MYSELF" notice the very unique way he constructed the letter F, the top and sides were made in one stroke with a loop that connects the two. Now go to the 1969 Paul Stine murder case and check out the envelope sent to the SF Chronicle that contained a piece of Stine's shirt, the F in San Fran is identical in construction. I've never seen an F made that way before.
