Had not heard of gp before larry's posts. off wikipedia, excerpted, plus checking residences, below

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gareth_Penn

Gareth Penn has three children.
a first wife, Sandra Scott, he married circa 1960. one daughter and divorced in 1963.
Married in 1966 to his second wife, Mary Ann Winterrowd-- divorced in 1982. Mary Ann Winterrowd taught for nearly 20 years in the Vallejo Unified School District, spending most of that time at Solano Junior High School. She lived for a time in Irvine and Santa Ana, Calif. and died in Chicago, Illinois in 1991[59].
Penn married his third wife, Diane Merrill, a Marin County artist, in 1984.[60] They divorced in 1997.
Penn writes that he has lived in Berkeley; cities all around Marin County, including Tiburon, Vallejo, Stinson Beach, Corte Real, San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera; and in Napa, Calif.
Gareth Penn retired in 2000 as a librarian at the National Marine Fisheries Service Tiburon Laboratory and Point Reyes Bird Observatory near San Francisco. He now lives in Seattle.

curious list of residences currently listed: age: 67 for Gareth Sewell Penn
seattle, corte madera, greenbrae, san rafael, larkspur (all in Marin county) plus Napa, CA

poss relatives: PENN, AMANDA MACE (Age 30)
PENN, FELIX (Age 37)
PENN, MARY ANN (Age 70)

Anyone familiar with the history on this person related to Z? seems to be a lot of info out there and peculiar connections, esp. Vallejo School Dist job of his wife; his tiburon job; and napa residency.

Penn's background, his places of residence all coincide with Zodiac. PLUS the Zodiac ciphers all point to him as Zodiac.

I spoke with one of Penn's daughters, she is an attorney in Oakland.

When I spoke with Penn he revealed some interesting things which police were interested in. All the pieces of the puzzle fit for Penn. His Mensa articles revealed clues to Zodiac and hiw other writings also mentioned things Zodiac wrote of.

Go to: http://www.opordanalytical.com and click on forum then The Zodiac killer and you will find a lot of info on Penn and Zodiac.

Christopher at one time was tying the Zodiac to ALA then without much as to why he concluded that it was not ALA. I cannot remember if this was before or after the dna evidence ruled him out.

http://www.opordanalytical.com/articles/Zodiac.htm

Correct me if I am wrong but does Christopher also claim to have deciphered some codes that were left by someone claiming to have killed Lacey Peterson?

oh and lets not forget the scopion cipher sent to john walsh of americas most wanted. I hear he cracked those as well.

Christopher J. Farmer also solved a cipher for CIA which no one had been able solve... If you read the Opord Zodiac report you will see how everything in the Zodiac writings point to Gareth Penn. This is the real deal and Farmer never said he thought Arthur Leigh Allen was Zodiac. PENN is ZODIAC and I know of detectives working on it!

We get it, you think Chris Farmer solved the ciphers and that Gareth Penn is Zodiac. Can you stop spamming the board by posting the same thing in thread after thread please?

Larry,

You currently have 5 active links to your website on this board, that's it. All further posts that contain your website link, the link will be deleted. I have received complaints about the spamming. You have been advised.

Check out the post by 'nefarious' today on OPORD. I assume it will be deleted soon.

nefarious:

I have a few questions, which I feel are legitimate given that a scientist should be able to answer questions regarding their research or thesis. And, Mr. Farmer claims he is a scientist, though it's quite obvious it's not of the test-tube variety. But, if one is a graduate in the field of 'Public Safety' and wants to call themselves a scientist because, then it's their right. You also seem to claim that you're a forensic scientist as well, as you wanted to teach your 'protege' Blitz all about the field.

First question: How many employees do you have at OPORD? Anyone besides yourself? You give the impression that you have agents all over the world ready at the drop of a hat to do James Bond-like intelligence work, yet you can't even check out 3141 Paradise Dr. And if you claim that you have checked this area out already, then where's the evidence? Remember, you said this was 'case closed.'

I notice someone recently asked about you vouching for gutsygal's evidence, but in response you obviously distanced yourself from her. I, and others, know that previously you posted that you were too smart to fall for a foax if it indeed was one, and that you had 'checked out' her evidence, though not in those exact words. I cannot cut and paste that post of yours, because conveniently it seems to have disappeared. Does noone on this site have the courage to question you on this? Do you know something about gutsygal's evidence that makes you doubt her? You are the one who invited her to the OPORD forum.

So did the earth start shaking after you published your Kryptos solution? Weren't you going to be famous? Funny, noone on planet Earth seems to care or acknowledge it.

DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. Any forensic scientist knows this. Apparently you don't.

You were apparently born to fight communism along with Ronald Reagan, however you ban anyone on your forum who questions you. Isn't that how communists behave, Mr. Farmer? What would Ronald Reagan think of that?

A quote from Thermopylae:
Quote:
Intellectual DNA is what caught the Unibomber. Intellectual DNA is what caught the BTK killer. It wasn't LE hanging out at the donut shop waiting for tips to be called in that got those very intelligent, highly elusive criminals that outsmarted the best criminal minds in the United States for decades.

It was intellectual DNA.

It's 'Unabomber,' not 'Unibomber.' It was anything but intellectual DNA. Please research the facts before making statements such as this, as a scientist would do. Ted K was basically turned in by his brother, and BTK was caught because he was an idiot. See the following from Wikipedia:
Quote:
In his letters to police, Rader asked if his writings, if put on a floppy disk, could be traced or not. The police answered his question via a newspaper ad posted in the Wichita Eagle saying it would be OK to use the disk. On February 16, 2005 he sent a floppy disk to Fox TV station KSAS in Wichita. Forensic analysis quickly determined that the disk had been used by the Christ Lutheran Church in Wichita, as well as a reference to the name "Dennis". An internet search determined that a "Dennis Rader" was president of the church council. He was arrested on February 25.

Oh, and by the way, Dee Ferrin and Mike Mageau were not married. I see one member of your forum had the 'audacity' to correct you on the point, and was banned soon after.

P.S. Feel free to delete this posting as soon as possible. I will be posting it on the other Zodiac forums as well. And sorry for the 'Psy-op activity.' (lol)

I posted a reply to this on another thread on this board (Jenner CA thread), but I thought I would reply to this one as well.

I read the analysis by Chris Farmer. I am not sure if he created the analysis from his own workings or if he used Penn's 'Times 17' writing to come to his conclusions. Nonetheless, throughout the entire 68 page document Farmer sounds like a lunatic when he communicates his findings.
I am not going to copy/paste my post from the other thread, but anyone can go read it with a few clicks of the mouse. Farmer's logic is similar to the following:

1. My nickname is: 'a1000cars'
2. 'A' is the first letter in the alphabet (1)
3. A car has four tires so divide 1000 by 4 (= 250)
4. Now reverse 250 while removing the leading zero (52)
5. The nickname 'a1000cars' cars has 9 characters (9)
6. This means that the first killing was in 1952!

Now how ridiculous does this sound?
This is how the entire document feels when you read it.
Any comments?

Loopy, I think you got your Jimmies mixed up. I'm not Jim Crabtree, lol. I did see that Crabtree logged on to OPORD with a similar handle name, but that was well after I was a member of Dennis's forum.

LAST post I find on Opord from Crabtree was on Dec 10, 2008, that is certainly well before!

LOL! Wow, Jim Crabtree is at least thirty years older than me, but that is definitely ok if you believe we are the same person. Do you really think he would be posting on a zodiac site? He went on the OPORD cult website to defend himself, nothing more.

But keep it up, as it's definitely entertaining!

Compare the use of language and grammar between Crabtree and myself - wow, huge similarities.
I'm surprised you can figure out how to surf the Web, let alone post on a website.

And by the way, how does December 2008 come well before September or October of 2008? (Learn the D/M/Y, or M/D/Y thing, please)

You definitely picked a good handle name for yourself, 'Loopy.' Thanks for the laugh!

P.S. - if you're so intrigued by this Crabtree fellow, why don't you just email or phone him? You can find his profile on Facebook, too, but don't get all hot and bothered:

If you are so willing to reveal identities of other members of this forum don't expect yours to be protected. Mind you if I had as much to hide as you, I'd probably try to hide behind a screen name also.

Conrad Luznar has revealed his own name on the Z websites. How do you think I knew his name in the first place? And by the way, Farmer has even said Conrad's full name on the OPORD website, within the last month. My posting that stated Conrad's name was done in jest.

Methinks you take yourself too seriously.

Now run off and stop making a fool of yourself.

P.S. You should change your handle name from 'Loopy' to 'Duh...'

From freedictionary.com:
loopy
Adjective
[loopier, loopiest] slightly mad or crazy
