Artny, you called it, the paper was folded in half on most of the zodiac letters, this was never made public that I am aware of.

Did he have off sized envelopes? In the photos they look normal sized, but even a note pad sheet won't fit in a normal envelope folded in half (unless you fold it length wise and I just don't see that happening).

Artny,

What is the provenance of that photograph?

A typical notepad for Jack was a 5.5 - 6 inch. X 8.5 approximately in size. A small envelope will accomodate a 6 inch wide letter. Some of the letters appear to be folded in thirds as well. They would have no problem fitting! :)

The width was not in question. The height of the envelope is what is in question. A 5.5 or 6 x 8.5 inch piece of paper folded in half is 4.25 inches in height and 6 inches wide. The standard #10 envelope is just a little bit smaller than that (4.125inches high). Is there any evidence of a small crease in the edges of the documents that would accommodate that extra 1/8" or a small fold above the factory fold in the envelope flap to make it close so that the letter itself would not have the exra crease?

I believe I got it off Voigts site way back in 1999.
If you go to archive.org & type in zodiackiller.com you should find it on one of his original pages

I am not sure the relevance of the folds; however, this was a special type bond paper verified by the watermarks in it. This exact type of paper was found in Jack Tarrance's shed. This is why I say approximately in size as I have not seen nor measured an actual letter of Z by hand. Just rest your head on the fact that this info is being used to determine the authenticity of Z at that time, so it is no longer relevant seeings how we already figured out who he was. :) It may have been 8 - 8.25 in length, no one knows because the percception to the public has been skewed.

I keep looking at all of the other versions of this document and can clearly see that it was folded in thirds, not in half. Further there is no other instance of any Zodiac document including this one having a hand drawn border like this. The picture that you posted is supposedly a screen capture from a television show. I don't know what show but looking at it again, it is rather obvious that this is exactly what it is. Its no better than taking a picture of the character who played Det. Toschi in the movie and comparing it to real photos of him and saying "Hey wait, that doesn't look like Toschi, there must be a cover up!"

Thanks for your opinion, I had questioned it because it never had looked right to me. It doesn't even look like paul stines real shirt, the pinstripes look as if they are too close together.

A faked pic on Voigts website, no way! lol Go Figure!

Artny, I just re-read your 6/7/09 post and looked at the "Stine Letter" with what's supposed to be a bloody swath of his shirt. Interesting observation by you. I just wanted to add that for this supposedly blood stained piece of shirt sent via USPS that took a couple of days and was enclosed in paper, well, it looks way, too, wet and red for me. It should be dark or brownish dried blood stains. I was cetching up on posts I may have missed, esp, Ricky80's when I came across yours. Again, thanks for your observations. No wonder you got tossed off of Voigts board.

I believe TV created this document for a show

TE, you're jarring my memory of just what show that might have been. This is probably a rhetorical question but I know in late 1998, he did a segment with America's Most Wanted which of course, promoted his website, so, was it that show? It may have been AMW.

WOW, I think you're right Skeptic!! Hmmmm, very strange.... And tomorrow could actually be the Revenge of the Nerds2 Task-Force Meeting instead of the ZodiacKiller Task-Force meeting!
I wonder, maybe TV and Anthony E are twins??!???
