We have all wondered so many times...Why Paul Stine...right???? What if it had nothing to do with Paul...what if it had to do with the fact that Z wanted to kill someone on CHERRY street...in rememberence of Cheri Jo???????? :)

Sorry, like many, I just don't have the time to re-read everything, and I have forgotten. I can see that we have placed Jack in Riverside at the time of the killings.

Did Jack have a typewriter (sorry if this was addressed, just going over things again for my own curiosity) and was it the same as was professed to have written the "confession" letter for Cheri Jo?

The letter has a hugely apparent sexual overtone, yet all of the "confirmed" Zodiac attacks were not sexual in nature. I know that some have suggested other "serial" attacks as being attributed to Z, that were very sexual in nature.

Dennis, do you believe that Jack killed Cheri Jo, or any of the other cases suggested, other than the "official" cases attributed to Zodiac.

..just curious really.....

hi scarlett...i just wanted to say a quick thing...i dont know all the answers to the questions that you are asking...but i can comment on one....

you said that all the confirmed Z killings were not sexual in nature....there has been much speculation that it was sexual sorta...i forgot what they call it...a sexual sadist or something...where just the act of killing (or the power of killing) is a sexual thrill of sorts...

someone correct me on this if i got that wrong. you are right that no sex/rape occurred in the killings..but he 'got off' none the less some say.

I was lost in the long posts at "Responses To Jacks Handwriting Thread" but was reminded when I saw Jacks Mom & Dad on paper that his mother was Iva Flova with Barnett in paranthesis and recalled "Bob Barnett" was the name for the person suspected in the Cheri Jo Bates crimes. So, I guess I was paying more attention than I thought to the long winded posts in "Responses, etc" thread!? "Bob Barnett" was the ficticious name, if I recall right?

Not sure if this helps, but you are correct that Bob Barnett was a CJB suspect - his DNA was cleared a few years ago. I remember this was on television.

I don't believe that Jack would have been dumb enough to leave his own DNA at the crime scene. Jack might have been hired as a "fixer" in the CJB death and might not have been the actual killer. A broken wristwatch was found at the scene as was one found at the Black Dahlia scene.

Of course, Cheri Jo Bates wasn't wearing a dress when she was murdered. The victims father was taunted, as were the police. The wristwatch found at the scene is another common Zodiac Jack nuance.

Otherwise, I've always thought that her murder didn't quite fit in with the other crimes. It's like the crime had two different signatures. The second portion or aftermath fits Zodiac Jack, the actual murder and the way the body was left doesn't seem to fit in. However, the disabling of her car does, even though that wouldn't be  particularly difficult for most men to have done.
